The Personal Health Front vs Public Political Front
First the Personal -
The eye alas! shows no evident improvement, by my use of the Amsler grid, grrrr. That's the right eye. Now the good one, the left, which has never shown any disease process, seems to be starting a barely noticeable shading and blurring. Is this downhill slide in my eyesight going to turn into an avalanche........sure hope not. Or is the increased awareness making me a too critical self-observant patient now? Many questions, fewer answers, seems maybe I will need the specialist input.....I am not scheduled until January 06, 2009 for my next possible injection, but patients are told to always call is they suspect change, guess what I will do tomorrow?
On the Political Front-
Obama - in this time of multiple crises, seems to be more on top of it all than the incumbent.
The teams he has chosen and put to studying how to tacke a particular area on day one, is a wise move......no going off to the ranch whenever there is a problem requiring total focus. He's going to need all that stamina created by the marathonish campaign training.
I have one possibly big disappointment, if it becomes official this week that HC will be selected for SOS I will have a tough time swallowing that. I do not see that she is qualified, I think of her as a very abrasive personality, not what is needed in diplomacy, a know-it-all, unwilling listener. And the appointment if made and confirmed seems more like the old backroom political plum process. I happen to think Obama would have won without her and Bill's efforts.
Not a change that I envisioned. Governor Bill Richardson has better qualifications and keeps getting demoted in the cabinet choices. He had the education and the experience.

Too bad the media didn't give more attention to this and less to the Clintons.
