Still Sticking with paying political attention
BUT......it becomes very stressful. Latest aggravation was watching Charlie Rose interview Gen. Michael Hayden, now the director of the CIA. Hayden seemed agitated and defensive whenever Rose ask a question. Hayden has a facial tic and I think this affliction was revealing his agitation.
What happens on one side of his face is that a muscle or nerve in the cheekbone area causes the area to rise, then it appears to make his eye wink and it pulls up the corner of his mouth. Now I have watched him before when appearing before Congressional committees or giving a press conference and have never seen this type of frequency of the tic at those times.
What was making him so uncomfortable?
Why not locate the transcript, or preferably the video if available on the Charlie Rose website and watch it. Rather interesting I think.
Let me state that I did not think he was the man for the job, he lost me when he delineated his view of the Fourth Amendment. Doesn't believe probable cause applies on the surveillance activities that have proliferated in this administration to mega proportions.
I think the CIA director should be independent of the military. Too much baggage too from Hayden's previous positions in the administration.
The broadcast was shown yesterday on PBS in our area. We get it on delay of a day. So perhaps you also saw this.
