Victimizing the Victim

We've been in fantasy land for a week now. The administrations phobia about secrecy has revealed just how paranoid they are.

It shows that Cheney and Bush have long forgotten how to act naturally, as caring, feeling human beings.

Why the strategizing?

Why does it matter who first gives the report of the accident?

Why does it matter to whom the story is first given? Or When?

All the Angst comes off as false.

By their tactics they have created a fake political whirlwind.

Then the ultimate crassness, was trotting out the victim as early as possible for diversion from the VEEP! Meanwhile the Veep flees the scene, all the way to Wyoming for some ego massaging by his home state government and wrapping himself in the blanket of press victim! All this manuevering and craftiness to protect their false Madison Avenue created political images.

The accident simply called for immediate reporting. Instead we get some classic girly-man feinting and dodging. Poor Mr. W, willfully allowing himself to be exploited (did you notice he pulled his script out of his pocket when he came to the mikes in front of the hospital?) - they all come off as cardboard characters, nothing as simple as telling it just like it was. No, instead it is their M.O. of control - control - control.

Batman, how did we ever get this duo?
