Detroit engendered oil addiction and it was nursed along by the domestic oil producers.

Now we must embrace recovery, why not create a 12 step plan for all of us - first we give every adult that doesn't have one a bike so they can get to their local IAAOA weekly meetings for support and dedication in ridding ourselves of addiction and to publicly swear our abstinence.

IAAOA (I Am An Oil Addict) causes consternation among the MADD organization. They are out of business because the Prez declared it unlawful for an automobile to be on public school grounds and stipulates suspension for any student not walking or riding a bicycle to school, there are proposals in the rural areas to provide facilities for stabling horses used for transportation if that is feasible. Gasoline stations will be allowed to only open for business eight hours per day to deal with the crisis that has spawned international turmoil.

All extra-curricular activities of local schools and universities must be in daylight hours and only intra-mural. Amazingly there have been significant changes in educational scoring statistics. (Not to mention a drop in teen-age pregnancies.)

It is anticipated that in 12 years this 12 step program should at least yield a drop in the oil bucket.
