The question of creating a "no fly zone" over Libya air space shows the usual mistake of thinking we can solve other countries problems when we have more than neglected learning how to cope with our own and also exhibits the inclination to think a military force solution will be the tool of choice........my o my.........will we never LEARN?


NO - NO - NO to the zone; to establish it would make it necessary to inflict the innocent with damages unintended but also unavoidable in taking out the enemy capability to fire at any opposing air power, whether NATO and UN endorsed or otherwise.

Let's be smart for a change -- and this isn't an item that needs to absorb our non-existent dollars either.

Policial Propagandist

Today he was a guest on C-Span's Washington Journal, he has a new book now on the markets.

In my book, Frank Luntz fills the bill of propagandist extraordinaire, he markets political sewage and has ownership of radicalizing the Republican right-wrongers. The latter is bound to backfire significantly and I think we are beginning to hear the sounds of that. He doth protest too much - he took umbrage this morning at a caller that dared to call him "Goebbel"- - aha.


He doesn't deserve the title of linguist. He has bastardized the profession. Better that the public read some uncorrupted linguists, George Lakoff or Deborah Tannen or ask your librarian for a list.

I was aware of the allegations previously but in reading this highly detailed column, it seems I was not aware of the scope of Issa shenanigans. Only in America could such an obvious devious individual get elected to Congress. But then he is from California's conservative dump heap.
