The MOSQUE kerfuffle

No Fareed it is not a test of our nation's freedom of religion principle. Personally I believe all organized religions do more harm than good but that is not my reason for opposing this particular planned mosque a la cultural center. If a bow to religion(s) needs to be bestowed at ground zero it should be an ecumenical project.

A mosque which represents a religion that is definitely nondemocratic should never have been considered for the site. The plight of Muslim women, their subordinated role and cruel treatment in that particular religion and the false superiority of the male, make up my strong objections to this.

Mr. President, please note.

my absence

I cannot believe it has been more than two months since I last blogged here! That is what selling a home, buying another and remodeling it will do. So all my digesting of the political scene has only created mental blogging, no time to get it texted and posted.

I am hoping to resume some semblance of regularity again.
