CONGRESSIONAL CHOREOGRAPHY

This health reform dance has gone on long enough. Let's get real, they need to limit the amount private insurers can raise the premiums on existing policies and/ or restrict coverage changes unfavorable to the insured.

Premium raises should be limited to inflation rate plus a small additional percentage.

As I understand the House Bill - there would be no relief except for those who do not have insurance and need or want it. That is the limited public option and I will be happy to see millions benefit from this if it gets through the coming Pas de Deux when the Senate bill and the house bill DO-SI-DO.

POLITICAL PING-PONG

The health care reform bill's charade about a public option continues, it's in --- no no it's out....today it seems it's in only if congressional seats vulnerable in the next election, get to vote visibly on the floor to take it out -- so their constituent voters won't hold it against them in the mid term elections.........ping-ponging such a serious issue is just the sort of juvenile behavior abhorred by those of us that keep close tabs on what is happening in this wrestling match.

STOP this wrangling and do the job for the people who have spoken loudly and directly -- this is the only way to curb the rapacious corporate insurance vampires.

Cheney Brand of Courage

What a colossal fool Cheney is.....does he not realize that the public knows how he dodged serving in the military with multiple deferrals......yeah, Dick you're a great example of courage.....you are brave as long as you can order others to take all the risk.

Shut up and let someone who knows that killing and violence do not produce the results required in advancing the evolution of third world countries, culturally, socially, and economically, yes Dicky Boy someone who THINKS instead of reacting is in charge and America is regaining some of its values so carelessly destroyed by you and the Bush regime. It simplistic to believe there is a military solution to these complex problems.

Dithering is a Cheney specialty -- not Obama's. And look at the company you keep, appearing on the Gaffney neocon recognition along with your felonious former aid Scooter.

OUTDATED BUSHIE

Papa Bush is name calling ----- but what a name, sick puppy????

And only KO and Maddow?

Condolences to The Ed Show.

And BRAVO to MSNBC who have dared to break the full Nelson the neocons have had for decades on broadcast media. Now there are fact based reporters instead of the Faux News propagandists.

SYNTHETIC VROOM--

I am all for it, one day I was nearly ran down because a car in the parking lot was so quiet it was practially silent and I could not detect its nearing me at all. Or at least, it was a hazard for someone who has minor hearing loss.

The "SOUR GRAPES" award

The first award is going to David Brooks and Ruth Marcus for their commentary this evening on PBS Nightly News.

Their mutual belittling of Obama's being awarded the Nobel Peace award makes them fully qualified.

They definitely left a "bad taste" effect -- they seem to have had lots of company in their failure to understand the impact that the Obama campaign, election and the changes since of administration nationally has had on the global attitude toward our country and its policies poisoned by the past regime. This global seminal sea change is indeed an accomplishment that is deserving of the award.

CONGRATULATIONS MR PRESIDENT!

As usual, there is going to be carping about the Nobel Peace Award. Personally, I think the choice is right on the mark. It appears that the mood around the planet has been shifted from war to peace and the committee acknowledged that seminal change. It is not surprising that in our own country, which elected him president in overwhelming numbers, has many that are blind and deaf to what, shall we say are nuances and especially international nuances.

It indeed offers hope that we may not annihilate the species homo sapiens off the planet and we can honorably live up to that description.

BRAVO, President Obama, I too feel honored for having voted for you.

Grassley plays GOOFY again

Senator Grassley apparently never heard of a profession called ACCOUNTING!!! Senator Cornyn is now nitpicking apart this Rockefeller amendment that will reduce the ability of the health insurance industry to make exorbitant profits and not distribute a reasonable amount of the premiums collected to actually provide the customer with coverage for claims.

FROM THE BATTLEFRONT

The war continues, that is, in the Senate Finance Cmte hearing on the Baucus health reform bill. The arsenal of duds is fired with vehemence by the rightwingers, spiked this time with Luntz talking points on TAXES -- last several days it was to see who could fire the "GOVERNMENT-RUN" phrase most often......the two sides sit and trade opposing interpretations of the same section of the bill.......both cannot be correct......and the public needs to know who is doing the misinforming, the twisting of numbers and even outright lying even though none have the nerve to call anyone on it......instead we hear the Congressionally correct political pandering......do not be fooled, the goal of the Republicans is to NOT allow any health reform legislation that will interrupt the flow of enormous profits to the industry. This is not about citizen's choice as Mr Rockefeller tried to promote and I hope he will continue his efforts on that, and this is not about doing the will of the people, this is just raw politics.

Oh so obvious.
