SENATORS ON THE CHEAP

The gang of six should really be called the gang of five, because I believe in Senator Olympia Snowe's honesty and reliability, the others, not so.

They are the bargain basement for the health care reform antagonists. The pharma firms, and insurance companies can contribute smaller amounts of campaign contributions to them and get greater influence because these senators are all from very small states and their campaign coffers do not require the monstrous bucks to assure re-election that are spent in the more populous states , hence the problems now visible in getting a bill out on reform.

Just look up the members and the population of the states they represent and you will see how lopsided this committee is in regards to the power it wields. Not exactly what you had in mind is it?

Let's see, what percentage of the population is NOT represented by this committee.......I'll leave the math up to you.

Ah, Mr. Baucus, we are not being fooled. JUST TAKEN.
