9/11 plus 5

A short time after 9/11/01, say two or three days, I phoned the office of my congressional senator, Senator John McCain. I requested that the Congressional Medal of Honor be awarded to the passengers of Flight 93. As far as my knowledge goes no award of recognition of their great courage and valor has been presented and my belief is that they are just as worthy as any military recipient of this honor. An exception should be made for the sacrificial decision and actions taken to give their lives in order to save maybe thousands of others. I am sure their surviving families, especially their children, would be greatly comforted by this.

I have been bugged by this, especially on that day when "W" saw fit to pass out a handful of medals,(not this particular one, but another) and included George Tenet.
